Interested in science? Want to learn more about the latest technology breakthroughs in normal English, minus the jargon? Then Café Scientifique Pittsburgh at Carnegie Science Center is the place to be!
Café Sci is THE place in Pittsburgh where anyone interested in science can get together at a scientific hub to discuss today's science issues with experts, and best of all... you can ask your own questions! After a brief talk by our monthly guest speaker, the evening is dedicated to a question-and-answer session. Plus, enjoy our pub-type atmosphere with food and drinks available for purchase.
How does the environment affect our ability to learn, trust, and create? Join Science Channel host of Tomorrow’s World Today George Davison on Mon., April 1 for Café Sci as he discusses the creativity construct and how that idea can be developed anywhere.
After his lecture, have a one-on-one conversation with Davison to get your burning questions answered.
Davison is a Pittsburgh based creative entrepreneur, inventor, author, and advocate for STEAM education. He has championed several projects that encourage free-thinking and understanding of human creativity. He is currently the host of The Science Channel program, Tomorrow’s World Today.
Davison is a long-time inventor who holds a multitude of patents and has several of his inventions for sale in stores across the country. He has appeared on Lifetime,The Steve Harvey show, and CBS to speak about the power of inventing and creativity.
In 2006, Davison created Inventionland, an immersive work environment where his creative team could be inspired and tap into their imaginations as they designed products of the future. Occupying more than 60,000 square feet, Inventionland consists of 16 themed sets which include the pirate ship Discovery, a giant robot, and a fully-functional race track.
In 2015, Davison’s community outreach expanded to the educational sphere, where he developed coursework preparing young innovators with the science, technology, engineering, and math skills necessary to be successful in today’s world. The Inventionland Institute Curriculum has been adopted by schools across the country, helping to inspire the next generation of creative entrepreneurs.
Today, Davison’s footprint in the innovation community continues to grow leaps and bounds with his role as host on the new Science Channel program, Tomorrow’s World Today. The technology-centric show, which premiered on the Science Channel in May 2018 and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, highlights our world’s newest innovations, best practices for sustainability, and advancements in technology.
