Carnegie Science Center offers convenient and affordable packages to help you purchase and implement your own Mobile Fab Lab, complete with equipment, training, support, and curriculum.
Fab Lab
A Fab Lab is a digital fabrication laboratory for innovation and invention; a workshop to play, create, learn, mentor, and invent. The BNY Mellon Fab Lab Carnegie Science Center is part of a global network of more than 500 Fab Labs. Fab Lab welcomes people at all levels of experience.
Fab Lab offers engaging workshops for all ages. Check out:
- Hands-on public workshops for visitors.
- Field trips for students that offer the spark of invention and creation.
- Teacher professional development sessions.
- Corporate workshops with a focus on team-building.

, about how Fab Lab at Carnegie Science Center has used the Mobile Fab Lab to engage visually-impaired participants and has developed a new process for working with these students called Tactile Assisted Design (TAD). Fab Lab at Carnegie Science Center is the nationwide leader in this initiative.
