Looking for time to explore the Science Center without the chaperoning duties? Here's your chance! We offer FREE General Admission once a year to preschool – 12th grade teachers from schools located in the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, New York and Maryland. Use this visit to familiarize yourself with our exhibits and prepare for an upcoming field trip. To take advantage of the teacher preview, complete this form.
Fee-based programs such as The Rangos films and laser shows are not included. Requests must be made at least one week in advance of the preview date. Cannot be applied to group visits. Non-transferable.
Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) Card Discount
Present your Electronic Benefit Transfer Card (EBT Card) from any state (such as, for example, Pennsylvania ACCESS card, Ohio DIRECTION card or West Virginia MOUNTAIN STATE card, etc.) and receive general admission for up to four people for $3 each. This discount applies to the card issued by each state to administer government benefits payable to the cardholder. This discount does NOT apply to the Port Authority ACCESS card. Visitors must present their EBT Card and matching photo ID to receive the discount. Not valid with any other offer or group visits. Cardholder must be present.

Reciprocal Memberships
The ASTC Travel Passport Program entitles visitors to free General Admission for the equivalent of the Carnegie Science Center's Family level membership: 2 adults/4 children. The members listed on the reciprocal membership card must be present with their valid museum membership card and photo ID. It does not include free admission to special exhibits, laser, and Omnimax films, nor does it include museum store discounts and other benefits associated with museum membership. For ASTC Passport Program policies and a full listing of reciprocal ASTC centers and museums please visit the passport page at www.astc.org
Program Restrictions:
- Based on your science center's/museum's location: Science centers/museums located within 90 miles of each other are excluded from the Travel Passport Program. 90 miles is measured "as the crow flies," not by driving distance.
- Based on residence: To receive Travel Passport Program benefits, you must live more than 90 miles away "as the crow flies" from the center/museum you wish to visit. Admissions staff reserve the right to request proof of residence for benefits to apply.
Science centers and museums requesting proof of residence are marked by (check IDs).
Don't Forget To Bring Your Membership Card!
Passport venues are not required to grant free admission to visitors who forget their cards. There is no universal database with all Passport visitors' member data and expiration dates for admission staff to reference. Some venues will allow you to call the science center or museum you joined to confirm your membership, but they are under no obligation to do so.
