STEMisphere®

About STEMisphere®

STEMisphere® is the online central hub listing STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education resources for young people pre-K through 12th grade in the southwestern Pennsylvania region. Carnegie Science Center launched STEMisphere® as a community service to serve as a portal for students, parents, educators, and others who are interested in STEM education.

The long-range mission of STEMisphere® is to provide access to exceptional STEM education resources by collaborating with community stakeholders, providing resources to educators, and inspiring excitement among students. Carnegie Science Center manages the website as a community resource for the Pittsburgh region providing an opportunity to search a directory of programs, classes, events, and more.

How to use STEMisphere® and start your STEM journey today (learn more in this explanatory video):

  • Parents: Give your kids an edge.
  • Educators: Inspire tomorrow's leaders.
  • Students: Discover your future.
  • Partners: Invest in tomorrow.

Does your organization offer camps, classes, workshops, or internships that can help students build a STEM career? We want to know! Visit STEMisphere.org, then click on Submit a Resource. You may also contact the STEM Information Coordinator at 412.237.1619 or email Michelle Howard. The STEM Information Coordinator reviews the submissions and posts appropriate information.

Support has been provided by the Legacy Alcoa Foundation, The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, The Grable Foundation, Shell, and Duquesne Light.
